About the Blogger

Judd Sta. Maria is a graphic artist / programmer / half-deaf music junkie / poser athlete / iron chef currently working at Nuffnang Philippines. Recently worked as a media buyer / zookeeper at ZenithOptimedia Philippines, handling online / outdoor campaigns and events. He launched his first website in 1997 and his first blog about five years later. To date, he has countless dead blogs scattered around the web and is currently maintaining just a few.

He worked for several months at Holy Cow! Animation but quit because the building was constantly being threatened by terrorists. He is very afraid of bombs.

Bombshells, not so much.

He’s currently trying to concretize his career path by trial and error, and he believes in a “no blood, no foul” rule in business. His favorite quote of three years – “You only get one shot at life; why waste it on sleep?” by Gustav Graves (Die Another Day, ahoy James Bond) – caused him several months of sleeping disorders and a permanent curse of being late for whatever, every single time.

He loves spaghetti, the Detroit Pistons (and scrappy basketball teams, for that matter), FC Barcelona (and high-scoring, high-tempo football teams, for that matter), and Aerosmith (and classic rock acts, for that matter).

How do I stalk you?
You keep too many online journals. Where do I start reading?

I post my personal updates on juddstamaria.com; the following is a list of the other blogs I keep and what I write on them:
  • StaticRiot. This is where I keep most of my short creative writing materials. Mostly, I post flash fiction and reflections here. There are no photos here: only text. I generally don’t make it a point to update this blog regularly. When I have something I want to write, that’s about the only time I fire up my dashboard and start typing away.
  • Shootdelay. This is my photoblog. Almost all of the photos you see at juddstamaria.com are cross-posted at Shootdelay, and all the photos you see at the latter are housed on Flickr.
  • Pakshet. My all-Pinoy blog on Tumblr. This is where all jologs, makabayan, komiks, and other Pinoy posts (generally) go.
  • Pop Thug. This blog is the one I update the most (at least once daily). It’s filled with alternate takes on the things that happen to me (yes, even the ones I already talked about at juddstamaria.com). I talk about the smallest (but significant) details of daily happenings with just enough photos and text to last your five-second attention span, you fickle, you.
  • I Fouled Out! This is my stupid sports blog. Sometime in 2009, I created it because I felt like I was talking about too much sports stuff at juddstamaria.com. Now I seldom talk about sports, but it’s just there whenever I feel like talking about Manny Pacquiao. Or the Detroit Pistons.
